WARNING // IRREVERSIBLE ACTION. Deleting your COM1 account removes your identity and associated server-held data subject to verification and legal retention rules. Your user ID may not be recoverable. Local or previously received copies on other devices may remain.
Option A / Delete from the app
If you still have access: open COM1 → Settings → Delete Account. Confirm with your current password and the required DELETE confirmation. The app's deletion flow invokes a server deletion function, removes associated account records and cleans up local data where successful.
Option B / Request deletion on the web
No app installation or login is required to submit a deletion request. Email the COM1 support contact from any email address you can access. Include your COM1 user ID so the account can be identified. Never email your COM1 password, Secure Link secret, API keys or recovery codes.
If the email button cannot open your email app, write directly to mail@najad.dev with the subject COM1 account deletion request. This email route is the online submission path; it does not require you to reinstall COM1.
What is deleted?
The account deletion implementation is intended to remove the authentication identity, profile, device/notification registrations and the account's associated messages and private storage as appropriate. Direct conversations involving the account are removed from COM1's backend; in remaining group conversations, messages authored by the deleted account are removed and group ownership can be transferred.
What may remain?
Other participants may still have previously delivered/downloaded content, screenshots or exported copies. Certain server logs or records may also be retained where legitimately necessary or legally required, as described in the Privacy Policy. Group conversations involving other people can continue without the deleted account.
Verification and confirmation
Support may request reasonable proof that you control the COM1 user ID, without asking you to disclose your password. The time required depends on verification and backend operations; support will communicate any steps or delays. Deletion is not considered complete merely because an email client opened — send the email and retain the correspondence.
