Everyday communications
- Direct and group chats with handle-based discovery, message replies, editing/deleting, file and image sharing, and optional sound effects.
- Offline text RX/TX: text can queue locally when a network is unavailable and reconcile when connectivity returns. File uploads require a connection.
- Local history: the encrypted device cache protects stored message history. Server retention depends on conversation participants and feature entitlements.
- Push notifications via Firebase Cloud Messaging where configured and supported by the operating system.
- Appearance: Normal follows system light/dark, Modern adds a refreshed terminal UI, and other themes (including Mesh Green) are available through commands.
