Reporting, blocking & safety

Using COM1 message reports, account blocks, Safety Center, moderation notices and first-contact protections.

COM1 / USER PROTECTION

COM1 includes user reporting and blocking, group filtering, and a small authorized moderation workflow. These safeguards do not automatically inspect every conversation or decrypt Secure Link content.

Report a message or an account

  1. Long-press an incoming packet and choose Report message; or open a chat's shield menu to report an account.
  2. Choose a reason and optionally add an explanation. A child-safety reason is available for urgent concerns.
  3. Submit the report. COM1 records report references and details for authorized review. Secure Link message plaintext is not automatically uploaded.

Block someone

Use the packet sender menu or chat shield menu, then manage blocked handles under Safety Center. Blocking is enforced for direct messages and filtered in group messages, offline synchronization and new push notifications. Previously displayed or already-delivered content cannot always be remotely erased.

Moderation and notices

Authorized moderators (separate from paid SYSOP accounts) can review reports, issue warnings, suspend messaging, restrict accounts and record audit notes. Users can view applicable safety notices in their Safety Center. Urgent child-safety reports still require a human response and lawful escalation when appropriate.

18+ policy for this release

The current Pass 4 build uses an 18+ self-declaration and Terms/Community policy acceptance at sign-up. This is a current product policy rather than a claim that COM1 is an adult-content app or a verified age-check system. The registration Edge Function and database enforcement must be deployed consistently for this gate to be effective.

Report serious concerns

For child exploitation, threats or other serious concerns, email mail@najad.dev. Do not forward illegal imagery. If a child is in immediate danger, contact local emergency services. See the Child safety standards and Community guidelines.
